Why I Write
I write about history, conflict, strategy, and the individuals caught up in events larger than themselves. Whether in fiction or nonfiction, I’m drawn to the choices people make under pressure—and to the ways those choices can shape either personal lives or the sweep of history long after the moment has passed.
